I wear a Citizen watch much like the one pictured (except with a NATO strap). It’s not too expensive, something like 200 bucks, but it’s fantastically accurate. I set it in late July to the exact time (US Naval Observatory), and since then, it’s lost exactly one single second. One second in two months. That’s incredible. Not to mention the watch will never need a battery (light powered) and it’s water resistant to 333 feet.
This is a good watch.

Very nice watch! I’ve never measured how accurate mine is, but I’m 29 and I’m still using the same watch I was given as a birthday gift back in Grade 6....a Timex Ironman Triathalon digital.
I’ve actually got two watches. I’m a twin, so my brother and I were given the same Triathalon in different colors back in Grade 6. Eventually, the strap-pin holder on one end broke so the watch couldn’t have a strap anymore, that was when I was in Grade 9, so around when I was 14. I got a new Triathlon to replace it which is still going strong (it’s gone through a LOT of straps, but I’ve only had to change the battery once!)
My old (Grade 6) one was blue with black trim, and my brother’s was gray with black trim. My new watch was pretty much the EXACT same design, but with the newer style screen (Old screen style on left, new screen style on right:

These are exactly what my watches look like other than the color scheme).
I re-found my brother’s old watch and my old watch 2 years ago. Mine had died (I used the Indigo backlight more often), but his was still going on it’s ORIGINAL BATTERY. As my old watch’s case was broken and his old watch had a damaged screen by that time, I decided I would swap my good “guts” into his old watch’s case and bring them both back into working order as one watch. It still works perfectly after the combining and, with a new strap, I alternate between it and my Grade 9 watch daily. :)

That is awesome...I need to look into one of those! How big / heavy is it?
And just think, you’d have to pay a lot more to get a watch thats...a lot less accurate. :-)

It’s small and light, I hate big faces. 37mm.

At 333 feet of water there is no light. Does that mean it stops?

Nope it's battery powered, the battery just charges with light.

That brings up my 2nd question. What happens at 334 feet?

Warranty goes void.

Those sneaky bastards at Citizen put a depth recorder in it, didn’t they.

Time stops and the universe implodes. If you see him getting near the water, attach a 332 foot rope to him, it’s our only hope.

You made me laugh. Thanks.
